City Bank’s consolidated profit after tax rose 20% year-on-year to Tk867.38 crore in the first nine months of 2026, up from Tk722.19 crore in the same period last year.
The bank’s consolidated earnings per share (EPS) also increased to Tk4.96 for January-September 2026, compared with Tk4.13 in the corresponding period of 2025.
The bank disclosed its third-quarter financial performance at a digital earnings webcast held today (4 November), attended by existing and prospective investors, researchers, analysts and other capital market participants from around the world.
Md Mahbubur Rahman, additional managing director and chief financial officer of City Bank, presented the financial results, while Mashrur Arefin, managing director and chief executive officer, outlined the bank’s current and future strategies.
Mesbaul Asif Siddiqui, deputy managing director and head of wholesale banking, and Mohammad Firoz Alam, chief risk officer, also attended the webcast.
Following the presentation, the bank’s management answered questions from participants about its financial performance and business outlook.
City Bank said the webcast was part of its continued efforts to strengthen investor relations and maintain engagement with the investment community. It added that the bank had attracted attention from domestic and international investors in recent years through its market presence and growth.
