Oimex Electrodes tops DSE gainers list following 2% dividend recommendation

The manufacturer reported an earnings per share (EPS) of Tk0.38 for FY26, marking a significant recovery from Tk0.03 recorded in FY25.

Oimex Electrode Limited emerged as the top gainer on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) today (3 November), as its share price jumped 11.94% or Tk1.6 to close at Tk15 following a cash dividend announcement.

The company’s board of directors recommended a 2% cash dividend for general shareholders for the fiscal year ended on 30 June 2026, excluding sponsors and directors.

There was no price limit or circuit breaker on the trading of the company’s shares on the day following the corporate declaration. The company will hold its annual general meeting (AGM) on 27 December, with 29 November set as the record date.

The manufacturer reported an earnings per share (EPS) of Tk0.38 for FY26, marking a significant recovery from Tk0.03 recorded in FY25. The company attributed the profit expansion primarily to increased operating income and lower raw material costs.

Its net asset value per share rose to Tk3.65 as of 30 June 2026, compared to Tk3.27 a year earlier.

Oimex Electrode is currently traded in the ‘Z’ category after failing to hold its AGM within the stipulated time frame for FY25, a year in which it declared no dividend.
