The independent power producer reported a sharp rebound in its bottom-line performance, with consolidated earnings per share (EPS) rising to Tk1.04 for FY26, up from Tk0.38 in the previous fiscal year.
Summit Power Limited (SPL) reported a significant growth by 173% in its consolidated net profit for the financial year ended 30 June 2026, alongside recommending a 10.50% cash dividend for its shareholders.
According to the price sensitive information approved at its board meeting today (27 October), the company recommended the cash dividend for the 2025-26 fiscal year. To seek shareholder approval for the proposed payout, SPL has scheduled its annual general meeting (AGM) for 30 December. The record date for determining eligible shareholders has been set for 19 November.
The independent power producer reported a sharp rebound in its bottom-line performance, with consolidated earnings per share (EPS) rising to Tk1.04 for FY26, up from Tk0.38 in the previous fiscal year.
The company explained that consolidated EPS increased compared to the previous year primarily due to a lower impairment loss recognised against seven non-operating power plants. The impairment loss stood at Tk94 crore in the current year, down from Tk138.1 crore in FY25, reflecting the plants’ updated fair value.
Financial indicators showed that consolidated Net Asset Value (NAV) per share rose slightly to Tk40.73 as of 30 June 2026.
