The BBR Corporate Award 2025 comes as part of an international business summit held in Chattogram

Mobile telecom operator Robi Axiata has been honoured with the BBR Corporate Award 2025 for its contribution to the telecommunications sector in Bangladesh.

The award was presented at the international conference titled “The Future of Business: Innovation, Technology and Sustainability”, organised by the Bureau of Business Research (BBR) under the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Chittagong.

Held at the Radisson Blu Bay View in Chattogram, the event was attended by Commerce Advisor Sheikh Bashir Uddin, with University Vice-Chancellor Professor Mohammad Yahia Akhter also present.

Md Iftekharul Alam, Robi’s Senior Regional Head for Chattogram North, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

In a statement, Robi said the recognition reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and its continued progress in expanding digital services across the country.

Robi Axiata PLC (“Robi”) is a public limited company and the second-largest mobile network operator in Bangladesh.

The majority stake (61.82 percent) is held by Malaysia-based Axiata Group Berhad, one of Asia’s leading telecom companies, while Indian telecom giant Bharti Airtel holds 28.18 percent. The remaining 10 percent is owned by public shareholders.

Robi continues to invest in nationwide telecom infrastructure, aiming to bring advanced digital connectivity to both urban and rural communities. The company plays a key role in supporting Bangladesh’s broader digital transformation.
