RAK Ceramics MD plans to sell 8.85 lakh shares through Mohammed Trading

The planned sale comes as RAK Ceramics posts positive EPS of Tk0.18 in the second quarter, against a loss of Tk0.43 a year earlier.

SAK Ekramuzzaman, sponsor shareholder and managing director of RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) Ltd, has announced his intention to sell 8.85 lakh shares of the company through his proprietary firm, Mohammed Trading.

The shares will be sold at prevailing market prices on the trading floors of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), according to a disclosure filed with the Dhaka bourse today (25 August).

The announcement comes after a series of purchase declarations by Ekramuzzaman through the same entity. In May 2026, Mohammed Trading announced plans to buy around 3 lakh shares, following an intention to purchase about 5 lakh shares in April. In October 2025, the firm had announced plans to acquire 85,000 shares of RAK Ceramics.

In February, the company’s board approved contracts with Mohammed Trading for the purchase and sale of goods worth 10% or more of the previous year’s revenue.

Meanwhile, RAK Ceramics reported a turnaround in earnings in the second quarter (April-June) of 2026, posting consolidated earnings per share (EPS) of Tk0.18, compared with a loss of Tk0.43 per share in the same period a year earlier.

For the first half of 2026, consolidated EPS stood at Tk0.05, against a loss of Tk0.49 in the corresponding period of 2025.

The company’s consolidated net asset value (NAV) per share stood at Tk15.08 as of 30 June 2026.
