ADB signs $100 million loan agreement with Bangladesh for infrastructure development

The project, set to be implemented from 2024 to 2029, will be executed by the finance division, with Bangladesh Infrastructure Finance Fund Limited (BIFFL) acting as the implementing agency
The Government of Bangladesh and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a $100 million loan agreement today (12 December) to strengthen the “Bangladesh Infrastructure Finance Fund Limited Project-Additional Financing.”

The signing ceremony took place in Dhaka, marking a significant step in advancing infrastructure development through public-private partnerships (PPP).

Md Shahriar Kader Siddiky, secretary of the economic relations division (ERD) under the ministry of finance on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh and representing the ADB, Hoe Yun Jeong, country director of its Bangladesh resident mission signed the agreement

The project, set to be implemented from 2024 to 2029, will be executed by the finance division, with Bangladesh Infrastructure Finance Fund Limited (BIFFL) acting as the implementing agency.

Additionally, a project agreement was signed between BIFFL and ADB. SM Anisuzzaman, chief executive officer of BIFFL, and Hoe Yun Jeong represented their respective organisations during the signing.
