Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury received the cheque for dividends declared up to the 2023-24 fiscal year at his office in the Secretariat.

Palli Sanchay Bank has deposited Tk60 crore in dividends into the government treasury, handing over a cheque to Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury at the Secretariat in Dhaka today (25 October).

The cheque covered dividends declared in favour of the government up to the 2023-24 fiscal year, according to a press release from the Ministry of Finance.

Palli Sanchay Bank Chairman Dr AKM Jahangir and Managing Director Salma Banu formally handed over the cheque to the finance minister at his office.

Financial Institutions Division Secretary Nazma Mubarek was present at the handover ceremony, along with bank director Nure Alam Talukder.

Other attendees included Deputy Managing Director Md Golam Mortuza, General Managers ABM Zahid Hossain and Md Ala Uddin, Board Secretary and Senior Principal Officer Muhammad Ali, and Senior Principal Officer Sukanta Kumar Ghosh.

Palli Sanchay Bank works to improve living standards and socioeconomic conditions in remote areas, reduce poverty and create employment, the ministry said.
