According to DSE data, Dulamia Cotton’s core textile operations have remained non-operational since 14 June 2020.
Dulamia Cotton Spinning Mills Limited has recommended a 1% cash dividend exclusively for its general public shareholders for the financial year ended 30 June 2026.
The company’s general public shareholders hold 50.61 lakh shares out of the total 75.56 lakh shares, bringing the total proposed gross dividend amount to Tk5.06 lakh, according to the disclosure filed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
To gain shareholder approval for the recommended payout, the company has scheduled its annual general meeting (AGM) for 13 December. The record date for determining eligible shareholders has been set for 16 November.
According to its financial statements, Dulamia Cotton reported an earnings per share (EPS) of Tk0.20 for FY26, down from Tk0.25 recorded in the previous financial year. Its net asset value (NAV) per share stood at negative Tk39.81, slightly improving from negative Tk39.83 in FY25. Meanwhile, net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) rose to Tk0.53 from Tk0.41 in FY25.
According to DSE data, Dulamia Cotton’s core textile operations have remained non-operational since 14 June 2020. Despite its manufacturing units staying idle, the company posted a modest profit of Tk15 lakh in FY26.
Company sources indicated that this unexpected turnaround was driven by rental income rather than textile operations. Dulamia Cotton leased 17,640 square feet of its factory floor space in Feni to Chens Crop-Science Bangladesh Limited in August 2024. Effective from January 2024, the agreement generates Tk3.52 lakh per month at a rate of Tk20 per square foot, along with an additional Tk50,000 in monthly service and maintenance charges.
The company had earlier disbursed a 3% cash dividend for FY25 in August this year.
On Monday, its share price dropped 0.61% to close at Tk193.40 on the DSE, where it currently trades under the ‘Z’ category.
Incorporated in 1987 and listed in 1989, Dulamia Cotton was founded by Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Abdul Awal Mintoo.
