The confectionery products manufacturer reported local sales of biscuits and bread at Tk14.57 crore in FY26, down 18.64% year on year from Tk17.91 crore in the previous fiscal year.

Bangas Limited, a publicly listed biscuit maker, saw its business decline in the 2025-26 fiscal year, as domestic sales fell by around 16% from the previous year despite a strong rise in exports.

The confectionery products manufacturer reported local sales of biscuits and bread at Tk14.57 crore in FY26, down 18.64% year on year from Tk17.91 crore in the previous fiscal year.

Meanwhile, its exports soared 41% to Tk1.17 crore from Tk83 lakh in FY25, according to the auditor’s report published on the stock exchanges’ website.

As its sales dropped, the biscuits manufacturer witnessed a decline in its profit by 14% in FY26.

Bangas sells Grand Choice, Evening Touch, Lovely, Wonder, Glucose and Lexus biscuits in the local market.

The company reported earnings per share (EPS) of Tk0.24 at the end of June 2026, down from Tk0.28 in the previous fiscal year.

Based on its outstanding shares, its net profit stood at Tk18.26 lakh in FY26, compared with Tk21.34 lakh a year earlier.

Its board of directors approved a 3% cash dividend for general shareholders only, meaning sponsor-directors will not receive any dividend.

General shareholders will receive Tk17.60 lakh in dividends for FY26.

The company reported a net asset value (NAV) per share of Tk21.10, while net operating cash flow per share was negative Tk0.25.

It has scheduled its annual general meeting (AGM) for 12 November through a hybrid platform, while 19 October has been fixed as the record date to determine eligible shareholders.

Bangas Limited, which was listed on the stock exchanges in 1984, produces sweet and salted biscuits and bread under the Bangas brand.

Its shares closed at Tk117.40 each on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) yesterday, meaning the stock is trading significantly above its NAV per share.
