The benchmark index DSEX of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) jumped 1.18% in the first hour trading session on the opening day of this week.
During the session till 11:00 am, the DSEX rose by 65 points to reach at 5,583, while the blue-chip index DS30 gained 28 points to close at 2,185.
Out of the trading issues, 263 advanced, 68 declined and 60 remained unchanged.
The turnover value stood at Tk401 crore during the session.
Agni Systems led the turnover chart which was followed by Lovello Ice- cream and Orion Pharma.
Bay Leasing led the gainers chart as its share price jumped by 10%, followed by Evince Textile and Intech.
Peoples Leasing emerged as the worst stocks of the day followed by Safko Spinning and Popular Life Mutual Fund.
